What a big boy!
Fun with Grandpa
We helped Andrew and Bronwyn move this last weekend, and while we were cleaning the apartment, my dad noticed a swingset behind the complex. He took Tobi out to play on it and Tobi was having the time of his life! Afterward, he snuggled up to his Tigger and Pooh bear that Auntie Marlei gave him and took a really good nap.
We've decided that as soon as we can afford it, we are getting our little guy a swing set to play on at Grandpa and Grammies house.
Summer fun
Wow! Talk about being in a blog slump! I am back and ready to post tons though lol.
We got invited to Sean and Brynn's the other night for a BBQ (delicious as always) and after dinner, Brynn and I decided it was windy enough outside that we should help the kids fly their kites.
I can't even remember the last time I flew a kite, it was so much fun! Brynn and I got Ellie's princess kite up all by ourselves and we were so proud. After that, the guys had to come out and show us how it's really done with Noah's batman kite.

The girls won, of course, it took the guys FOREVER to get their kite up...but there were laughs and smiles all around. The kids enjoyed themselves and Tobi thought the kites were SO fascinating. He just sat and stared it was so cute!
Thanks Sean and Brynn for inviting us over!

Seven Months!
I know it's late but here it is.......my baby boy is SEVEN months old!
Can you believe that?
He is getting so big and every day with him is more and more fun. He is the cutest little boy. He's so happy and so full of energy, he definitely keeps me on my toes. We've been taking him swimming now that the summer is finally here, and he LOVES it. We have a cute little floatie for him that hooks around our waist and has toys on it for him to play with. He's figured out how to splash in the water and he laughs hysterically every time the water splashes him in the face. He hasn't made the connection between the pool and bath tub and doesn't splash in the tub yet. He started to a little last month, but hasn't since then.
He has started giving kisses and it's so cute! He'll grab your face and lean in, pressing his face against yours...it makes me laugh every time he does it. He still isn't crawling but he's trying his hardest so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before he gets it. He's starting to sit up better on his own, which makes me so excited because I can't wait for Chelsea to do his next set of pictures. I have so many cute ideas. Grandma and Grandpa Olson just bought him the cutest little bouncy horse to play with at their house and he goes to town on it, he loves it so much.
He's back to his yelling, crowing, cawing and squealing stage. He loves to be loud, especially in rooms that echo. He's a total show off. Anytime he meets someone new, he acts like the biggest ham, it's hilarious. He LOVES attention and fusses when he doesn't get it. He's a little rolling maniac and right now, that's how he gets around the apartment. His physical therapy is going great and I'm so glad he's not going to need a helmet. His flat spot looks so much better and we're so proud of him. He loves to play outside and he loves it when we walk to Macey's for groceries. He just stares at everything and smiles at anyone who will notice him. He LOVES it when we help him stand up and it makes me excited to see him do it on his own. He's gonna be so excited when he realizes he can do that. I love watching him learn and figure things out for himself and I'm so grateful that I get to spend as much time with him as I do. I know that not all mothers get to stay home with their kids and I tell Jordan all the time how grateful I am. He's such a good husband and father.
Here's to month number eight!

Boo! giggles
I went in to get Tobi after his nap today and when I leaned over the crib and said, "Boo!" he just started giggling. He thought that was SO funny. He is adorable, I love my little monkey so much. :)
Home
We are pretty much all settled into our new apartment and we LOVE it. This is definitely the happiest we've ever been in an apartment. It's very close to Macey's so Tobi and I take walks to the store. It's nice for me to get out and walk and Tobi loves to look around at everything. The area is great and almost all of the tenants have pets, it's like a cute little pet community. It has a swimming pool which we are anxiously waiting for to open....dang weather. We are on the bottom floor and we actually still get quite a bit of light which we haven't had in the past. It has nice carpet and nice hard wood floors. We've managed to hang a lot of my home decor which we've never got around to doing before now. We've had several people tell us that our apartment feels very homey. I've been playing with vinyl lately and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I still need to figure out what I want to use to fill the gap between my wedding pics and my flower branch/owl and I've got lots of other vinyl plans for our bedroom and Tobi's room. Everything is coming together pretty nicely though. We've entertained a lot of guests and we're really just enjoying this point in our lives.
