Anthony's FIRST Birthday

Tobi and I got to go to Roni's house today to celebrate her little Anthony's first birthday.  She did a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme which turned out SUPER cute and I had a blast being her assistant.  We drove out early to help with cupcakes and set up and after the party we got to join them for dinner while Jordan went out to a corn maze.  The party went great and Anthony loved his cake and gifts.  He had so many new toys to play with, it was fun watching him enjoy all his loot!

Happy Birthday Anthony!

The Pumpkin Patch

We made it to the pumpkin patch in Orem today and it was so cute!  We had just finished Tobi's Halloween photo shoot so he was still dressed up and we joined Adam, Shannon and Kayson who was also in costume--hoorah!  Jocelyn and Steve even came for a bit to take some pics for us.  We walked through and looked at all the fun animals, the light show, and played in the bouncy house section for a bit.  The boys loved it, especially the ducks!  We were even lucky enough to see a train go by which scared the tar out of Tobi at first since it was so close, but left him singing "choo-choo" for a good ten minutes after.  On our way out, both the boys got to pick a free pumpkin which they were absolutely THRILLED about.  The only thing that would have made it perfect, is if Jordan had been able to go with us...maybe next year!

Shortbread Cookies

Yesterday I got to go to Nedra's house and bake shortbread cookies with all the women in the family.  The last couple of years they've done it I haven't been able to go so when I got the invite this year, I couldn't wait!  Tobi and I got there first thing in the morning and Nedra and Tanya were all ready hard at work mixing up the dough. Tobi got to play with all his cousins which was nice since he hasn't seen them in a while.  Ben is getting so big and little Rachel just gets more and more gorgeous every time we see her.  Cindy brought us yummy sensuous sandwiches for lunch which everyone enjoyed.  Unfortunately, I had to leave a little early but we had a great time and it was nice to see everybody.

The Festivities Begin!

Jordan went to visit his grandparents the other night and they surprised us by sending Tobi's birthday gift early.  He was so excited when he saw the present and kept saying "wow!" over and over.  He sat and giggled and clapped his hands and got so excited to open it.  Once it was out of the bag, he was all grins and couldn't wait for Jordan to get it out of its box.  He even tried to help.  Once Jordan had it completely open, Tobi spent the rest of the night playing with it.  I'm so excited for his party, which is only two weeks away!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Bourne, Tobi loves his new toy!

Fall Pictures

I was able to go up the canyon this weekend and take some pictures of my brother and his gorgeous wife.  They took me through the Alpine Loop, which I've never driven (I know I know) and it was so pretty!  It was really fun being able to take their pictures for them and afterwards they treated me to lunch, which they totally didn't have to do!  It was nice to spend some time with them, we still don't get to see them very often with work, school, family and just life.  Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day...

Walking Dead Season 2!

The season 2 premier of Walking Dead showed on Sunday night and we just had to get all of our zombie lovin' friends/family together for a party.  As much as we wanted to go all out and have zombie type food and dress up and yada yada yada....I was too tired.  I just don't have the energy that I used to have BUT we still had a great time.  We were joined by Robert, Adam, Shannon, Kayson, Jocelyn and Steve and we all had a lot of fun.  We ended up ordering sub sandwiches from the Walmart Deli and served various chips and salsa with lots of soda to go around.  Jocelyn and Steve brought a really cool zombie brain dessert (jello with fruit and gummy worms) which was very exciting.  Jordan and I have been waiting a whole YEAR for this show to start back up again and not to sound dorky or anything but....it was GLORIOUS!  We LOVE LOVE LOVE Walking Dead and the first episode of season 2 did not disappoint.  If you haven't seen it you should check it out, especially during Halloween season!

So big!

We had a special birthday photo shoot the other day with my little Tobi who turns out....is not so little anymore!  We took him to one of my favorite parks and got some cute pictures of him in his special birthday shirt I made for him and then we also dressed him up all snazzy for some gorgeous black and whites for me to have.  I don't want to share the birthday pictures yet since we still have a couple weeks to go, but here are a few of my favorite non-birthday shots.

Halloween Jars

I found this project a few weeks ago and I just had to try it, it was too cute.  Shannon and I worked on a couple sets for each of us and today we got them finished.  I absolutely LOVE mine and I think they look great sitting in my window.

Olivia's Spongebob Party

This last weekend I got to take Tobi to Olivia's third birthday party which Roni and I have been planning pretty much since I got hired three months ago.  Roni put a LOT of work into this party and it turned out SO cute.  Little Olivia loves Spongebob and was so excited for her party.  Jocelyn and I got together the day before and baked some super cute Spongebob and Patrick sugar cookies.  They weren't perfect but I thought they turned out great and everyone loved them!  Jocelyn photographed the party (I wanted to enjoy myself as a guest this time around ha ha) and everyone seemed to have a great time, especially Olivia!

Happy Birthday Olivia, we love you!

F R I G H T M A R E S

Have I mentioned yet how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE halloween?  Because I do.  Like a lot.

Ever since Jordan and I got married, I've been dying to go to Frightmares at Lagoon with him, but alas...every year we are too poor to go.

Well not this year!

I got discounted tickets from Blendtec which I purchased right after I got hired and we've been saving them for Frightmares.  This weekend Chace took Tobi, and Jocelyn and Steve took the puppies so that Jordan and I could go together.  It was AMAZING.  Seriously, I was so happy to finally be there with him that I could have cried.  Pathetic I know.  Here is why I love Frightmares so much:

1.  It's hoodie weather so we're not roasting in the heat and we're not freezing either.
2.  Not as many people go because they think it's too cold which means NO LINES!
3.  The whole place is decked out in halloween craziness and they have the BEST halloween entertainment ever.  No joke!
4.  And they have special haunted houses and spooky mazes to celebrate the best the holiday ever...Halloween!

We went on ALL the rides we wanted to go on, and even went on a few of our favorites two or three times each.  There was seriously no wait on any of the rides, we were on and off and on our way to the next in no time at all, it was great!  We watched their halloween shows later that night and walked through Nightwalk (their scariest haunted walk-thru) which was terrifying!  I had SO much fun that I'm determined to make it an annual tradition.  I would much rather go to Frightmares in October than go during the summer, it's so much better.

If you haven't been yet...GO!  For reals!  You won't regret it!

Avery's 2nd Birthday Party

A few weeks ago Jocelyn and I got to photograph the CUTEST birthday party.  The theme was Milk & Cookies, with a special emphasis on 2% milk since it was her 2nd birthday...how cute is that!!  Jennifer, the fabulous planner and mommy to the birthday girl, had a gorgeous setup complete with a milk mustache photo booth.  They extended a special invite to Tobi since I was photographing the party which I thought was so sweet and he had so much fun.  We took Avery a super fun finger paint set for her gift and unfortunately we didn't get to see her open it because we had to leave a little early.  I'm so happy we got to go though and Jennifer did an AMAZING job on this party.

Happy Birthday Avery!

This is Halloween

October is here and I am so beyond thrilled!  Halloween is by far my FAVORITE holiday.  Seriously.  I love it!  I have so many fun happenings going on this month and I CANNOT wait.  I have some fun activities, fun crafts, awesome photo shoots, a few baking days...it's gonna be so great.  So, I am thrilled to present you with Octobers desktop (it could have been a little more Halloween-y but oh well)....ta da!
