Peanut

I realized I haven't really blogged about Tobi's bunny yet.  She is super funny and we've had a lot of fun with her so far, plus Tobi ADORES her.  He loves to give her treats and hold her and pet her.  She's super friendly and calm which is way nice.  We always have people commenting on how friendly she is.  We have a little harness that we use to take her outside sometimes, which Tobi thinks is pretty awesome.  She has a super funny little personality, which was unexpected for a rabbit.  When we come home, if we don't stop and pet her for a minute, she goes nuts and bounces all over in her cage making all kinds of noise until we notice her.  She cracks me up.  Anyway, that's Peanut!

Glitter Toes!

Jordan's Aunt Cindi is going to be having surgery soon and I recommended a glitter toe party to help boost her spirits.  We had it yesterday at Nedra's house and my adorable cousin, Amber, did our toes.  It was so fun and I'm so glad I got to have some girl time with the Bourne women.  Brynn and Kelly couldn't make it and while they were missed, it's still nice for me to get some alone time with the other girls.

Cindi went first and she got watermelon's done on her toes, they turned out SO cute and they were totally Cindi.  After that Celeste went and did a really cute silver with blue tips, again...so cute!  And I couldn't decide on a color so we did a mix of six and according to Tobi, I have rainbow toes.  Amber did an amazing job and it was so fun visiting with her and the girls.  Nedra and Grandma decided not to get their toes done but they still hung out with us and watched us get ours done.  It was so much fun and I'm glad to finally have something new on my toes (I still had my last set from February showing!).  Cindi and I decided we'd like to have a new set done every month and do some really cute ones for the holidays.  I'm so excited!  And here are some pics of our cute toes and my cute cousin hard at work!

20 weeks!

I am half way through my pregnancy today and thrilled that I've made it this far ha ha!  In all honesty, it's actually gone by quite fast, it helps to have a two year old keeping me busy.  I feel like my belly is really starting to grow and I'm feeling Grayson movements higher up, closer to my belly button, which is crazy.  He's been a little more active lately, that or he's finally big enough for me to feel it more regularly lol.  I'm getting more and more excited to meet this little guy if that's even possible...I'm already so thrilled!  I'm so happy that Tobi is getting a brother and I hope their the best of pals.

I'm still feeling pretty sick...24/7 but it's definitely worse in the mornings.  I dread getting up every morning and doing breakfast and just getting myself, and Tobi going for the day.  From there I end up feeling a little bit better, but still pretty crappy.  I'll be tested in July for the gestational diabetes and I'm preparing myself to deal with that.  I have my big ultrasound with my doctors office coming up in a week and I'm so excited to see Grayson again!

Zoo day!

A couple weeks ago Jordan and I decided to take Tobi to the Zoo.  The weather had been great and we were all itching to do something fun.  Adam and Shannon came with us and brought Kayson and Macie, both of which hadn't been before so it was way fun.  Tobi had a blast and kept telling everyone that morning that we were going to the zoom to see the animals.  And then he kept going on about how we were gonna see some sharks, it was pretty funny.  At the zoo, every time we passed any water he had to stop and check for sharks, he had me cracking up all day!  Eventually we came across a small crocodile that he decided was a shark and after that he was a pretty happy boy.

We did the carousel and the train, I don't think it costs much to take him and he loves it so those are a MUST every time we go.  And we also watched their bird show.  We got some pretty good seats right in the center and a lot of the birds were going right over our heads, a couple times Tobi got a little scared but then he thought it was cool.  We spent most of the day there and we can't wait to go again when their new exhibit opens up, Tobi is gonna love it!

I had to laugh because for days after, Tobi wanted to go back to the zoom to see the animals and kept telling us about the ones he saw.  He remembers the names of every animal too!  I am so proud of him!  Here are some pictures from our super fun day!

Mothers Day 2012

I had such a fabulous Mothers Day this year!  Our day was crazy but sometimes, that's just what I need.  We started off with a visit to my parents house where we surprised my mom with a kindle, and both my parents with a cruise.  They were thrilled that my brothers and I were sending them on a cruise and I am so happy to be giving them the opportunity.  Tobi had a great time playing in his sandbox and visiting with his Uncles and Bronwyn.  He sure loves my awesome little family.

From there we went to visit Jordan's grandparents.  I made them the cutest calendar and I'm a total dunce because I completely forgot to get it printed in time.  I was so mad at myself!  But I did have another gift for them along with pictures, and our gender announcement which they seemed excited about.  Tobi had a blast playing with their toys and just chatting their ears off in general.  He's a very talkative little boy right now, it's quite funny.

After that we went to visit Grandma Nedra, where we ran into Sean and Brynn, which was lucky because I had birthday cards for the kiddos.  It was awkward as usual, but I'm hoping as more time goes by it will get better.  Tobi wasted no time in digging out her toys and making himself at home.  It's such a joy for me to see how comfortable he is when he's there.

From there, Jordan took us to Chuck-A-Rama for dinner.  It's one of my favorite places to go and it's nice because it's the only place where Tobi seems to eat fairly well.  After that, we were running a little short on time so I had to drop Jordan off at home so he could get to work, and then Tobi and I went to visit my grandma by ourselves.  She had her back door open and Tobi was thrilled to go outside and play and I could see him from the kitchen so I was able to stay inside and visit.  I had to go out every now and then to help him with the slide and swings until my Aunt Brenda got there with her boys who were happy to entertain him.  We stayed way later than we probably should have, especially since Tobi didn't nap that day, but Tobi was happy and having a blast and it was nice for me to visit with family.  I drove home feeling pretty good.

I got Tobi in his jammies and we laid in his bed together to read his bedtime story.  He was running his hand through my hair while I read and totally passed out before I even finished.  It made me feel so good spending that time with him, I love bedtime because he gets so excited for me to read to him.  Then he tells me "nigh-night" and snuggles into his favorite black blanket.  I love him so much and I am so happy that I get to be his mom.  Even when there are tough days, I feel so blessed and so grateful.

Happy Mothers day!

There's another little man in my future...

Jordan and I went to Fetal Studio last month for a gender check and....

IT'S A BOY!!

My pregnancy so far feels EXACTLY like Tobi's did and I just knew it had to be another boy.  We are so excited and I can't even begin to express how happy I am.  I was so scared I would be disappointed if it was another boy and I didn't feel that way at all.  We picked Grayson Archer as his name and I cannot wait to meet him.  I hope he looks like me!  I think Tobi is going to love having a little brother and I am so excited to start shopping for little boy stuff!  I've learned so much since I had Tobi and I can't wait to spoil this new little guy.  Here are the pictures from the appointment.

Wow!  I'm going to be the proud mama of not one, but TWO gorgeous little boys!  How lucky am I?!

Kendra's Baptism Day

Jordan and I got invited to Kendra's baptism last weekend, she's one of his Aunt Tanya's girls and she is such a cutie.  Jordan had to work so I got to take Tobi by myself which was awesome (or just super stressful but I did it anyway).  Because we aren't active in the church and those events make me uncomfortable, we just went to the party afterward.  It was really hard on me when I first got there because not only did Sean and Brynn make it, but so did Tyler and Kelly which was unexpected.  It was a very full house and I ended up awkwardly sitting with the group that doesn't particularly like me right now.  I tried to stay positive, even though I wanted to sob, because I was there for Tanya and Kendra.  They ended up setting the kids up outside on a blanket in the backyard so that's where Tobi and I relocated and from there it went much better.

I was soon joined by Kelly and Rachel which made me nervous but it went better than I expected.  I've been trying to mend things with Kelly and we were able to have some alone time to chat while the kiddos played.  Rachel is adorable and I had so much fun spending time with her and letting Tobi play with her.  Charlotte was sleeping so I didn't really get to see her, but maybe next time.  We got to watch the kids do their gifts, not only was it Kendra's baptism day but it was also her birthday.  We brought her a really pretty bouquet of pink flowers to congratulate her on her big day and she seemed to really love them.  It was Jordan's idea so I couldn't take too much credit!  Aside from one big tantrum, Tobi did pretty good and had a blast with the kids.  By the time we said our goodbye's and headed home, I was feeling much better.

Congratulations Kendra and Happy Birthday!

My Gender Announcements

This last weekend we got to go out with Jocelyn and do some pictures for my gender announcements that I've been dying to send out.  She did an amazing job and aside from Tobi's whiny-ness, we had a lot of fun.  Pictures with a two year old are SO difficult and Jocelyn handled it like the pro she is.  Here are the two announcements I sent out to friends and family...

Happy 26th!

I had such a wonderful birthday this year!  First, Jordan took me out shopping and to see Avengers (which was AWESOME).  Then after the movie, we went to Happy Sumo for dinner, which was SUPER yummy and totally hit the spot for me.  We haven't been there in forever and it was so fun.  My mom and dad watched Tobi for us so we could go out.  Then on Saturday my family had a BBQ with just the eight of us per my request.  The food was INCREDIBLE, Chace did an amazing job on the steaks and my mom and I made some pretty fantastic mushrooms that were a big hit.  We had corn on the cob which I had been craving for weeks and then we had a special birthday cake and icecream.  My mom dyed the cake for me so we could announce to them what we were having...a boy or a girl!  Everyone made their guesses and then we were able to do the big reveal, it was very exciting!  We even had time to play my favorite game, The Game of Things (if you haven't played it you should, it's hilarious).  I had so much fun spending that time with my family and letting Tobi play with his Aunt Bronwyn and Uncles.

THEN!  On Monday Jocelyn took me out to lunch and we hit up the Wood Connection in AF, followed by the Hobby Lobby for some fun craft supplies for our next project.  We stopped by Dipidee for some super delicious cupcakes and then she brought me home.  It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I got to spend that time with her.

And THEN!  On Tuesday night Shannon took me out to dinner followed by a trip to Old Navy to peruse the baby clothes...who doesn't love that?  Seriously.  We had a hilarious waitress and the food was amazing.  I am such a lucky girl to get spoiled by BOTH my besties!

And that's my birthday weekend!
