My sweet little girl....

Of all the dogs at our house, only one is mine...Jessa Belle. She is my sweetheart. She's getting so much better around Tobi, she's not so jealous anymore and she's more protective of him now. She'll even sit and snuggle with him when he's on our bed, it's so cute. She knows to be careful around him and she's so gentle. I'm so glad I have her, she's such a good little friend.

Today was a rough day for me. Tobi was fussy and had a constant belly ache all day, poor little guy. Jordan got home and I was so frustrated from Tobi crying all day and so stressed. Jordan was eating his dinner and I finally couldn't take it anymore. I took Tobi into his room and changed his diaper, that always seems to calm him down for some reason (even if his diaper is still clean), then I buckled him onto his changing table and plopped myself onto the floor. I just layed there, trying to calm myself down. Next thing I know Jessa walks in and plunks her bone down next to me.
Yeah...like that's going to make me feel better.
It did make me laugh though. Leave it to a dog to think that a bone can fix anything. She's so sweet lol.

Bunch of sillies

For those of you who don't know...we share the house with four dogs. That's right, FOUR! And they are SO silly. My parents' fridge stopped working last week and they had to buy a new one. The ice maker on the new fridge is louder than the ice maker that was in the old one. Anytime the ice drops it sounds like someone is knocking on our door and the dogs totally freak out. They run outside, barking the whole way, to try and see who's here.

I wonder when they're gonna figure out it's just the fridge.

I can....

lift my head up.
smile AND laugh.
blow my own raspberries.
hold onto things.
watch TV.
notice the dogs.
copy noises.
drink a 5oz bottle.
burp really good.
almost roll over, I'm so close!
suck on my hands.
pull Mommy's hair.
nap longer during the day.
AND
pretty much get WHATEVER I want.

Retirement

We have officially retired Tobi's bedtime wedge that he sleeps on, and this is why....

This past week I've initiated a new strategy for Tobi's sleeping schedule. If he wakes up and he's only been asleep for an hour or less, I ignore him until he goes back to sleep. It seems to be working and he's still alive so I'm not too worried about my technique. He's been in the habit of sleeping for about four or five hours straight, and then he's up almost every hour after that...so frustrating!!! Anyway, the other morning he got up at six and ate a 5oz bottle then was awake again forty minutes later....so I ignored him and he went back to sleep after a few minutes. Next thing I know I'm waking up around 9:30 or so and the monitor is quiet. So I figured I'd go ahead and get a few things done before he woke up. Well, after a few minutes I start to hear a really soft cry over the monitor, with pauses in between. Nothing frantic like he usually does. Kind of weird, I thought. So I go into his room to get him and I notice that he's completely kicked his blankets off and he's somehow managed to push himself up enough to high-center himself on his wedge.

That's right. His poor little head had fallen off at the top and he was stuck. He looked so pitiful I couldn't help but laugh, to which he responded with a very pathetic "help me" sort of cry. I felt very bad for him but you just had to see it....it was pretty funny. So I got him out of bed and got him dressed, after which he was as happy as could be. Later that day when I put him down for his nap, he woke up after about twenty minutes and when I went in to get him...he had done it again! No blankets, and his head was hanging off of his wedge.

He no longer sleeps with his wedge.

So happy these days

Playing Peek A Boo after his bath
Just being his chill little self

I love those chubby cheeks!

He thought I was super funny this morning for some reason...so cute!

This was during Gummi Bears yesterday, he thought it was so cool to have his socks off and he kept rubbing his feet together. :)

Tobi has been making me laugh so hard lately, he is SO much fun. He's been waking up from his naps quietly, and he just sits and looks around. And then when I see he's awake, I'll say, "Hi Monkey!" really excited and then he gets all bashful because I caught him awake and smiles really big. He's been so happy lately and he smiles ALL the time. He's still not sleeping through the night but it's okay. He's so cute when I get him out of his crib, he sits and grins while I change him and then he lays all quiet while I warm up his bottle...it makes it impossible to be angry at him for not sleeping longer. When he wakes up in the mornings we have "quiet time". I keep the light off and I'll turn on the TV. Some mornings we watch the early morning cartoons, others we'll put in Baby Einstein, and lately we've also been watching the first season of Gummi Bears. I'll get him situated in his boppy so he can see the TV and then he'll sit all quiet and watch while I try to wake up ha ha. He LOVES his Daddy and his Grandpa and Grammy, he smiles for them so easily. All in all he's shaping into a VERY good baby and an adorable little boy. I can't wait to take him to Reno to meet Miriam and Grandpa Leavitt, it's going to be so fun!

Maternity

I have another digiscrap page to share! I'm so glad that I've discovered digiscrapping, it's given me such a fun hobby and I'm a total addict! I have so many cute kits and hundreds of pictures that I want to scrap....wish me luck!
