April desktop!

A HUGE scare

We had quite the scare yesterday.
Jordan and I were downstairs, watching our shows, when we heard a loud crash upstairs in the kitchen. We figured it was Rusty messin' around as usual. When my phone rang and all I heard was "help..help" I knew it was bad. I BOOKED upstairs to the kitchen where I found my mom on the floor. Her head was bleeding and she was curled up funny. I checked her head and she had a cut on her eyebrow that was already pretty swollen and when I looked down, I realized my mom had stabbed herself when she fell. I called 911 right away and the paramedics got there SUPER fast. After an interview to rule out foul play (I'm a really shady character) my mom and I were both in the ambulance and on our way to the hospital.
My family was already there when the ambulance pulled up, ready with their love and support for my mom. Jordan took Tobi over to Sean and Brynn's and made it back to the ER to wait with me. She was rushed into surgery to have the knife removed and we were relieved to hear that she had missed all things major and was going to be fine. At that point we shared some jokes, got my mom laughing, and everyone could relax and breathe again. She had to stay the night but she's coming home today and I'm very excited.
It will be totally okay if something like this NEVER happens again. Finding my mom like that was the scariest thing EVER.

Well Child #3

We made it to the doctor once more yesterday for Tobi's well child check. This time though, Daddy got to come and help us out. So nice! Tobi weighed in at 15lbs 11oz putting him in the 75th percentile for his weight. And he measured at 261/2 inches long, putting him in the 92nd percentile for his length. Not bad! He's a chunk but he's nice and long so doing pretty good. I was worried that he was gaining weight too quickly but the doc says he's doing just fine. I got the go ahead to start giving him cereal and gerber baby foods, I'm so excited! Time to head to the store and pick up some baby food!
He got another round of shots which he DID NOT like, poor little guy just sobbed (broke Daddy's heart) and we took him home for some cuddles and snuggles and extra lovin'. He's pretty tender today so I think it's going to be a rough day. Hopefully he'll be feeling more like himself tomorrow though. :)

A nice surprise

We had the nicest surprise on Saturday morning last weekend. My Uncle Howard and Aunt Pam stopped by for a visit! I was so excited because we haven't been able to drive down to their house yet so they hadn't been able to meet Baby T yet. My Aunt Pam took him and he was being SO cuddly. My mom and I both were stunned because he's typically not a very cuddly baby. It wasn't until later that we realized he was being shy! My baby boy...shy!! It was too cute.
He was having loads of fun with my Uncle Howard too. Tobi is so expressive, he gets us all laughing pretty good. I'm so glad that Howard and Pam decided to stop by, it was so good to visit with them.

The call of the television

This picture makes me laugh so hard! They were both watching cartoons and were totally ZONED.
Too funny.
Tobi and Amber, so cute!
My gorgeous watch!
My silver watch band. :)
My super sweet cousin, Amber, came over today and taught me how to make those super cute bead watches that seem to be the craze right now.
It was so much FUN!
We went to Michael's and then Roberts to get our supplies, and then had a delicious lunch at Noodles & Company (so so glad I can still eat carbs). Tobi was just waking up from a FOUR hour nap when we got back so we played with him for a bit and Amber got a chance to see how fun he is. We made watches for both of us and for my mom, who wanted one that looked JUST like Amber's.
It was so much fun having Amber here today and I look forward to hanging out again. I absolutely love her and have missed her. She doesn't live as close but when it comes to people you care about, you can't let distance stop you from being close.

Thank you Amber! We had so much fun today!

Hooray!

We got a new monitor!!!
I ordered it Friday last week and it arrived today, nice and early. The monitors we had were great, but they got a LOT of interference and white noise. There was static anytime we moved toward or away from it, anytime our cell phones went off, anytime we were on our laptops, etc. It was driving me absolutely bonkers!
We got a video monitor for our new one and I LOVE it. It's totally silent for one (except for when Tobi cries of course) and I get to see my sweet little boy while he sleeps. I can't even begin to tell you all how fun that is. I'm absolutely thrilled. It's going to be so wonderful going to sleep tonight without the buzz and hum of the monitor next to me on my nightstand.
HOORAY!
