Brynn's Dr. Seuss shower

Brynn had her baby shower this Saturday for little Ben and her sister, Chelsea, did such an amazing job! It was Dr. Seuss themed and turned out so cute. The food was amazing and Brynn looked so happy and gorgeous. I love that special glow that soon to be mommies always have. She got a lot of really great gifts and hopefully most of what she needed. I gave her a Dr. Seuss summer blankie with a matching burp cloth, some cute little applique onesies (pictured in a previous post), and a few things she wanted from her registry. Tobi had fun playing with the balloons and followed Rachel up and down all the stairs.

And the bonus, we found out the same day that Tyler and KellyAnne are pregnant, woohoo!

My adventures with vinyl

I'm sure you all remember how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE vinyl and recently I've had some time to put up a few more around the apartment. I think they look great!
I added this one in my living room to fill the gap between my pictures and my owl. I'm thinking I'm also going to hang a frame around it as soon as I find one that is the right size.
I added this one in Tobi's bathroom and I love it! So cute.
This one I put in my laundry room. My SIL was going to put this in her laundry room and when she didn't I stole it ha ha! I thought it was too funny.
And last but not least, this one was added to Tobi's room. I've been wanting to do this one for a while and I'm so glad I finally got it done.

Baby Wrap

Jocelyn came over last night and we had quite the sewing party. We both have craft fever BIG time and she had found the cutest pattern for a baby wrap, we just had to try it.

It was SO easy.

We did have a couple bumps on our learning adventure but the next one we make will be perfect and will take half as much time. Since we didn't have a baby on hand (Tobi is too big), we decided to demonstrate on Tobi's little teddy bear (it works a lot better with a real baby though ha ha).
After we finished our cute little robot baby wrap, I taught Jocelyn how to do the hooded towels that Amber and I worked on last week. We've decided that for our next sewing project we are going to attempt baby sheets. Hopefully they're not too hard because Tobi could really use a couple more!

Baby Onesies

As you can all tell, I have been very busy with baby projects lately and I am LOVIN' it! Last week I got together with Shannon and worked on these....appliques! It was so fun and so easy. Sewing around the edges was the most time consuming but they turned out so cute it was totally worth it. My adorable cousin Amber did some for baby Ashtyn and I just had to learn how to do it. I worked on a few for Brynn, and a few for Teresa, and then we had to do some for Kayson too. I did a really cute tie and suspenders set, I'll have to add pictures of that one later because I already gave it away.

I'm sure more projects are sure to come...stay tuned!

Weekend #2 in Logan

We got to go to Logan for a second weekend in a row, only this time....Jordan went with us!! He was able to get Saturday off and it was already his Sunday off, so Friday when he got off work we drove up. The weather was great on the drive up and didn't get yucky until after we arrived, and even then it wasn't bad. Saturday was so nice, Jordan and Tyler got to go shooting and while they were gone Kelly and I did some sewing and some baking. I learned that you can freeze bananas and I was so excited because I hate it when I have to throw them away! We got to have tiny spicy chicken (my favorite!!!) and watched a couple of our favorite movies (Megamind, Tron) and just spent time together. Rachel is a total riot and I loved spending the weekend with her. I don't get to see that cute little girl as often as I'd like. Love that little girl! The drive home was quick and uneventful (except for Tobi whining the whole way), but we are so glad we got to go!

Hooded towels

Amber came over today and we got to work on some hooded towels for the babies. I did a super cute yellow one for Tobi, with blue, green and brown ribbon. She did a really cute pink one with pink, green and brown ribbon. They turned out so cute and it was nice to relax at home and hang out with her. I made some chili for dinner and we kicked back and watched Tangled (totally my favorite movie right now!) since Amber hadn't seen it yet. Her belly is growing bigger and she says Ashtyn is moving around quite a bit these days. I think motherhood is so beautiful and baby bumps are adorable. She looks great! I can't wait to meet her baby girl in July.

Here are some pics of Tobi and his new towel (unfortunately I forgot to get pics of baby Ashtyn's towel so I'll have to get some later).

My day in Logan

I was a VERY lucky girl this weekend. I got to go up to Logan to visit my in-laws, Tyler, KellyAnne and Rachel. I was nervous at first since my back has started hurting again but I did pretty good. Good thing I saw the doctor on Friday and got some better medicine! We made it there right before noon and then Kelly and I (and Tobi) went to the Hobby Lobby to pick out some fabric for Kelly. She agreed to teach me how to make the cute little minky summer blankies she does for Rachel and I was so excited! I've had craft fever and I LOVE learning new things. I'm very eager for new projects. The blanket turned out to be easier than I thought, which was a relief! And I had a blast hanging out with Kelly and Rachel. I loved hearing her shout "no" and "go away" in her little voice. She has such a big personality and she's a total hoot! I also got the opportunity to meet some of Kelly's family at her Grandma's house later in the day. We had a yummy dinner followed by ice cream for dessert. I even got to try some of Kelly's mom's SUPER yummy homemade chocolate sauce....SO good!!

It was a day that was very, very well spent.
Here are some pictures of Tobi and Rachel playing together on the stairs:
